California

What a fantastic trip to visit Uncle Jeff and Aunt Debbie. So many memorable moments, I wrote a book on it -- literally! Don't worry, it's primarily pictures, with just a tad of commentary. I'm working on publishing it at Blurb.com, so stay tuned!

Brownies in March

Fun times with Troop 549! We learned yoga AND hula at a yoga studio for our March meeting. Lots of relaxation, then swishing hips! After our lessons we delivered lots of GS cookies to a local community center/food pantry and got a tour of this brand-new facility. We're always proud to take our Brownies in public cuz they are just so well-mannered and ask great questions. The same night after our meeting, Stephens Elementary had a talent show. The Brownie troop got on stage and proudly sang the Brownie smile and friendship songs.

Happy Hearts Day

This is the first time in almost 10 years that I didn't get out my old valentines for display ... with my job and Disney, the timing was just not good. But still, the kids had fun, thanks to Nanna, making MANY homemade treasures for friends and family. MJ enjoyed passing out her cards at school and they both had school parties.

Brownies in February

I didn't get a very good picture, but for the record, our Brownie Troop earned their Puppets, Dolls and Plays badge by making yarn dolls and putting on some productions with them. Cookies coming in soon -- yummo!

Playdate

MJ has been begging me to have her preschool friend Lidia over to play. We found out that Lidia will be in KG with MJ at Stephen's next year, so this could be the beginning of a long, silly frienship!

Stephens Science Fair

All the Einsteins were out on Feb. 2 to show off their science skills and prowess at Glenn Stephens Elementary School. Dad and another dad helped Anna and her friend Lauren with their exhibit on recycling. Poor Lauren got sick, so Anna was the solo presenter, but she did a great job! She enjoyed sharing her knowledge and demonstrating paper-making to the crowd. (We had more than 75 kids participate and about 300 in attendance!). Mary Jane had just as much fun as Anna and is already talking about her participation in the Fair next year with a dinosaur or fossil exhibit. "Mom, kids will be able to dig up fossils at my table!"

P.S. This is MJ at home with a paleontology text book loaned to us by my friendly boss Fred. MJ was fascinated with all the fossil drawings from the 1950s. I looked the book up on eBay for Fred -- it's worth about $200!

Spa Party

Scenes from Spa Day, Anna's birthday party ... She invited her Brownie troop, so we had 9 girls (including MJ) who were ready for pampering!

Setting up the party bags and flip flops (for dolls and girls!).
